CAEH sets goal to achieve 15% lived experience participation.

The National Conference on Ending Homelessness is the annual gathering of a growing national movement of individuals, organizations, communities and governments working together to end homelessness in Canada. This year we’ll welcome over 1,000 participants from across Canada for an intensive, fun and energizing learning experience.Ìý

Supporting Greater Lived Experience Participation

To support greater participation of people with lived experience of homelessness we’re introducing a special Lived Experience Participant registration price. People with lived experience of homelessness will be able to register for the conference for an early bird rate of $210 before September 5th or $320 after September 5th. Our goal is to achieve a 15% lived experience participation rate at the conference in order to bring the voice of lived experience into the conversation on solutions. This discounted registration will be available on a first come first served basis and will support up to 150 lived experience conference participants. This fee is offered in addition to our Lived Experience Scholarship program and is supported by an Inclusion Fee applied to all other registration categories. For more information visit our91èÏÈÉú.

Our conference program will91èÏÈÉúinclude sixty-six, 90 minute concurrent sessions91èÏÈÉúorganized into six streams. We are inviting presentation proposals in all of our six concurrent session91èÏÈÉústreams:

Scholarship Programs

This year we’re pleased to offer two scholarship programs. Our91èÏÈÉú91èÏÈÉúprovides full scholarships (including registration, travel and accommodation) to 25 people with lived experience of homelessness from across Canada to attend the conference. In addition to the 25 national participants, we will also welcome 25 participants from the Hamilton area.

91èÏÈÉúis an annual conference scholarship to recognize outstanding student and Housing First practitioner contribution to ending homelessness. The scholarship honours the memory of Dr. Paula Goering, RN, PhD and her exceptional role as a mentor to innumerable students, as a practitioner and a pioneering researcher who focused on translating research knowledge into practice.
